A leap into the past!By lippatriceSeller's responseThank you very much for the wonderful review! It had been a long time since I last made a 6-sun puzzle box. I do not expect to make many of them in the future, so I decided to offer it as a limited piece. Until you pointed it out, I hadn’t realized that this style could be seen as a classic, traditional one. After seeing the photos you shared, I felt the same way. That is a perspective that only someone who has seen many Japanese puzzle boxes could have. It was a truly insightful and thoughtful comment, Thank you very much!1 of 1 viewers said this review is helpful. Is this review helpful for you?

It's beautiful, even to the touch and in your hands, and you can appreciate the finesse and precision of its construction. The Yosegi-zaiku decoration is well executed and perfect for this type of box. The packaging is meticulously crafted, and the puzzle moves smoothly and precisely. I'm truly satisfied and impressed. Thank you for the emotions it conveys! I hope to have the opportunity to visit it at your workshop.Seller's responseThank you very much for the wonderful review! so small with sliding keysBy lippatriceThis tiny box is already astonishing by its size, which is slightly wider and taller but has the same length as a box itself, but it has two sliding keys that allow it to be opened in 12 steps! The small keys work perfectly and smoothly. Decorated with a magnificent Yosegi, it is a joy to handle such a pretty little box. Thank you always for writing your daily blog about the design, the manufacturing parameters, future projects, and many other things!
Good luck, Hiroyuki, for future designs and projects.👍🏻Seller's responseThank you, as always, for your wonderful review! I'm so happy that you liked the small box. Making this box takes a lot of patience, and recently, my npresbyopia has made the work a bit more difficult..haha..😂 but it’s still one of the boxes I truly want to keep making. Thank you also for always reading my blog. Crafting Himitsu-bako is very deep and full of discovery. I hope I can continue to share that world with you. See you again soon and thank you once again! Is this review helpful for you? -
A pretty cube box...but not only that!By lippatriceThis beautiful cube-shaped Himitsu Bako, with its double contrast of different wood colors and a larger band of nyatoh, makes it a visually pleasing box, as well as a pleasant one to hold.
The movements are fluid and precise as always. It also conceals a "slight" difference from other Himitsu Bako, as the craftsman says!
A slight, but very disturbing difference! The visual trap is disconcerting, and you have to think differently from other Himitsu Bako. A nice surprise! Thank you also for the daily blog, which is very rich in information on manufacturing and the many parameters for making a Himitsu Bako and other things. I always look forward to the new designs and the differences, as well as the manufacturing steps shown in the blog. See you soon, Hiroyuki.😊Seller's responseThank you as always! Patrice, I'm very happy to read your review. I’m thinking about creating another puzzle box with a different kind of “visual trick” or “mechanism” from the usual type. For example, something that makes you think, “I opened it the usual way… but wait, it’s different!”I believe people like you, who know puzzle boxes well, would really enjoy it. See you again soon!1 of 1 viewers said this review is helpful. Is this review helpful for you? -
very beautiful designBy lippatricea very pretty box and visually very attractive with the perspective effect of the checkerboards which differs depending on the viewing angle. The cube box is very pleasant to open with its 18 new steps for a himitsu bako cube. the precision of the cuts is such that the deformation is very little visible on the checkerboards, even though they are very small. the box works perfectly, very smoothly and arrived in beautiful packaging. thank you Hiroyuki. I always look forward to your new creations.Seller's responseHello Patrice, Thank you for your purchase! I'm so glad to hear that you love this box as much as I do. I truly appreciate your wonderful review. I’ll continue creating more delightful puzzle boxes. I look forward to seeing you again! HiroyukiIs this review helpful for you?

beautiful combinationBy lippatricea beautiful combination of woods with a nice contrast of rosewood which has a magnificent grain and veining to walnut wood
the box works perfectly the elements slide smoothly
fast shipping and neat presentation as always
thank you HiroyukiSeller's responseThank you very much Patrice! Rosewood is a rare and very hard wood. Normally, it would be difficult to use it for lids (it is not flexible, so it is easy to break if thinned), but it has become possible by pasting the sliced rosewood on plywood. Thank you always for your wonderful messages! Is this review helpful for you? -
4 sun 14 stepsBy lippatriceanother beautiful creation with this himitsu bako in a completely new format for a himitsu bako. the smell of hinoki wood is very pleasant when you open the box. the yosegi comes out very well with this light wood that looks like ivory.beautiful contrast with this strip of purple heart.the keys and the panel slide perfectly without constraint.the shipment is always very fast and well protected and well presented in a pretty gift bag.thank you Hiroyuki.always looking forward to seeing new works.Seller's responseYes. Thank you so much Patrice! I have made this puzzle boxes as one of the new challenging puzzle boxes. Hinoki wood is a Japanese tree that has never been used in himitsu-bako works, recently I like to use this wood. and the wide size himitsu-bako is one of my favorite shape. I will make this shape again by other design. Your reviews and words make me happy! Thank you always!!Is this review helpful for you?
