"In a typical Japanese puzzle box, once the first move is discovered, the rest of the solution is usually a repetition of the same sequence, even as the number of moves increases. An 11-step puzzle box is normally made with two sliding keys and three sliding panels. For this box, I changed that arrangement slightly and made it with one sliding key and four sliding panels instead. I think even people who are very familiar with Japanese puzzle boxes will notice that the sequence feels a little different from the usual one."

The origin goes back even to the Edo and Meiji era (1800s) in Japan. It has been handed down by the very few craftsmen. I am crafting full-time these puzzle boxes by myself.
